The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) reported that at least 28.6 hectares have been burned at the Navotas Sanitary Landfill since Thursday.
Based on satellite images taken six days after the fire, PhilSA said approximately 28.58 hectares, or 285,800 square meters, were affected.
The agency noted that the burned area is larger than the Quezon Memorial Circle.
PhilSA earlier reported that smoke from the massive landfill fire had spread as far as Bataan.
This resulted in poor air quality across large parts of Metro Manila, prompting the Office of Civil Defense to advise the public to wear face masks when outdoors.
The fire broke out on April 10 and lasted for several days.
