The Department of Health (DOH) is closely monitoring products that may be affected by tensions in the Middle East, including medicines.
In an interview, Ted Herbosa, Secretary of Health, said prices of medicines, clothing, and food may increase due to the ongoing conflict in the region.
He explained that the impact of the tensions is expected to be felt alongside possible price adjustments from manufacturers.
Meanwhile, the health chief emphasized that there are sufficient medicine supplies and stockpiles on standby for hospitals.
There are currently no reported shortages.
Herbosa assured that hospital services, as well as DOH programs, will continue uninterrupted.
