Authorities to set reward for information on the whereabouts of Atong Ang

Authorities continue to track Atong Ang following the issuance of a warrant of arrest against him yesterday in connection with the case of the missing sabungeros.

In an interview, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla said Ang is extremely wealthy and capable of finding ways to evade authorities.

Despite this, Remulla said all offices under the DILG are actively searching to locate Ang.

While the arrest may not be easy, he stressed that authorities are not stopping their efforts to track down the business tycoon.

The agency is also aware that Ang’s camp may resist, but Remulla assured that they are prepared for any possible scenario.

In closing, the secretary said authorities will set a reward for information leading to Ang’s arrest.

The reward could reach more than ₱10 million.
