Gasoline-laden multicab catches fire in North Cotabato

A multicab loaded with gasoline was gutted by fire in Aleosan, North Cotabato, on Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025.

Authorities identified the vehicle’s owner as Julie Alinsangao, 50, a resident of Barangay San Mateo in Aleosan.

According to initial information, the driver noticed smoke coming from the vehicle while traveling and immediately pulled over. He quickly got out before the flames spread, avoiding injury.

Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Aleosan responded promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze before it could spread further. The fire completely destroyed the multicab, which was reportedly carrying containers of gasoline at the time of the incident.

No one was reported injured in the fire, and authorities confirmed that no nearby properties were damaged.

The BFP Aleosan is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze and assess possible safety violations or technical issues that may have triggered it.
