GSIS to Provide Financial Assistance to Earthquake Victims in Cebu

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is ready to extend financial aid to its members and pensioners in Cebu following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake.

GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso expressed solidarity with government employees and retirees affected by the disaster.

Veloso announced that the Emergency Loan Program is now open for eligible members and pensioners who live or work in Cebu.

Those with an existing emergency loan may borrow up to ₱40,000, while those without any outstanding balance may avail up to ₱20,000.

The loan is payable over 36 months with an annual interest rate of 6%, and repayment will begin three months after the release.

Aside from financial support, GSIS is also coordinating with local government units and its branches in Cebu to ensure continuous service delivery.
