6-year-old woman nabbed in Davao Occidental drug bust

A 36-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night during a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Kulo, Barangay Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental.

The operation was led by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, in coordination with the Davao Occidental Police Provincial Office and the Malita Municipal Police Station.

Authorities identified the suspect only by her alias, “Gretch.” She is a married resident of the same area. At around 8:55 p.m., she allegedly sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to an undercover agent for P7,000.

The operation resulted in the recovery of the suspected illegal drugs and the marked money used during the transaction.

Authorities are preparing formal charges against the suspect for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
