A fire engulfed 16 homes in Sitio Judas Belt, Barangay Babag 2, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, early Monday, January 13, leaving behind massive destruction and unanswered questions.
The fire alarm was received at 3:49 a.m., with firefighters containing the blaze by 5:02 a.m. According to initial reports, 10 houses were completely destroyed, while six sustained partial damage, resulting in property losses exceeding ₱200,000.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Initial reports suggest the blaze may have started in the home of either Nilo Maglasang or Enerio Dioso.
