Security at Malacañang Palace has been elevated to red alert following threats to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos, the Presidential Security Command (PSC) confirmed.
PSC Commander Brigadier General Jesus Nelson Morales called for an emergency meeting on Saturday, issuing the heightened alert status that will remain in effect “until further notice.”
The red alert signifies an intensification of security measures within the palace complex and surrounding areas. Security personnel are conducting stricter checks, monitoring, and patrols to safeguard the first family and government officials.
This latest development underscores the PSC’s commitment to ensuring the safety of the President amidst heightened political and security challenges. Malacañang has yet to release a statement regarding the situation.
As threats loom, the PSC reiterates its unwavering resolve to protect the nation’s highest leaders and preserve peace in the seat of power.
