11 SAF officers fired for moonlighting

Eleven Special Action Force (SAF) personnel have been dismissed from service for moonlighting as security escorts for a Chinese national involved in gambling.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced the dismissals during a press briefing this afternoon.

PNP Spokesperson BGen Jean Fajardo stated that the officers were removed from their positions following the signing of the dismissal order by PNP Chief General Marbil.

The officers were found to be illegally providing security services to the Chinese national, a violation of PNP regulations.

Two of the dismissed officers were involved in a disturbance in Ayala, Alabang, along with several superiors from the SAF.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the integrity and conduct of the police force.
