2 female students killed as motorcycle crashes into Pagadian home

Two female students died after their motorcycle crashed into a residential house in Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, on Friday, Aug. 1.

According to CCTV footage obtained by Brigada Pagadian City, the motorcycle sped directly into the home of the Saurnero family. The homeowner said they were shocked when the vehicle suddenly entered their house.

The victims, identified only by their aliases Juna and Zai, appeared unresponsive immediately after the crash. A third student, the driver identified as alias Stanley, survived with a head injury and is currently receiving treatment.

Stanley told authorities that they had just come from a leisure trip when the motorcycle’s brakes malfunctioned, causing him to lose control. He said they were unable to stop as the vehicle veered into the residential property.

Initial findings suggest the road where the accident occurred was a downhill slope, and speed may have been a contributing factor in the severity of the crash.

The Pagadian City Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
