The 10th Infantry Division (10ID) reported significant achievements this year in combating communist insurgency, maintaining security in insurgency-free areas, and addressing illegal drugs in the Davao region.
Major Ruben Gadut, chief of the 10ID Public Affairs Office, said a total of 704 New People’s Army (NPA) members were either arrested, surrendered, or killed in 60 military operations conducted from January 2025 to the present.
In addition, Task Force Davao personnel intercepted P2.4 million worth of shabu from 504 individuals at the city’s entry points. The seizures were part of ongoing operations targeting illegal drugs and criminal networks.
These developments prompted the 10ID to announce tighter security measures across all areas under its jurisdiction, particularly as the Christmas and New Year holidays approach. Soldiers will intensify patrols and maintain vigilance to ensure public safety and prevent insurgent or criminal activity.
The 10ID emphasized that its efforts aim not only to neutralize threats but also to reinforce peace and security in the communities it serves. The Army encouraged local residents to cooperate with authorities and report suspicious activities to support ongoing counter-insurgency and anti-drug operations.
Major Gadut noted that these operations reflect the 10ID’s continuing commitment to national security and the protection of civilians while working alongside other law enforcement units.
