Davao City’s top drug suspect nabbed: ₱540K in shabu seized

A police operation on December 6 resulted in the arrest of two men in Brgy. Matina Aplaya, Davao City including a high-value drug suspect ranked Top 2 at the city level.

The Ecoland Police Station Drug Enforcement Team, conducted the operation in coordination with the PDEA. Suspects, identified as alias “Bai,” 40, and Pablito Sangahan, 34, were apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Purok 2 Balon, Dumalag 2. Sangahan is listed as a high-value individual.

Police seized 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth over ₱540,000 and marked buy-bust money amounting to ₱4,400. The crystalline substance, believed to be illegal drugs, was recovered alongside the suspects’ possessions.

Authorities confirmed the suspects were caught selling shabu to a poseur buyer. They are now in custody and face charges for violating R.A. 9165, specifically Sections 5 (Sale) and 11 (Possession) of Dangerous Drugs.

The high-ranking nature of one suspect and the large haul of illicit drugs underscore the significance of the operation.
