At least 29 decomposing carcasses of dogs and cats were found in a vacant lot in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, according to a Facebook post shared by a concerned citizen.
The account Luna and Furry Siblings said residents reported that the animal remains were placed in about five large sacks and had been left at the site for three days.
The post also mentioned that a modified tricycle was reportedly seen in the area around the time of the incident.
According to the account, each carcass had a label indicating a name and weight. The post raised the possibility that the labeling method could be linked to a backyard breeder, an illegal puppy or kitten mill, an animal hoarder or an irresponsible clinic.
However, the post did not establish who was responsible for leaving the carcasses or confirm the source of the remains.
Luna and Furry Siblings appealed to the public for information about any local breeder or facility that uses a similar labeling method.
The account asked people with relevant information to contact them to help identify the possible source of the animal remains.
