Ate Gay, holds ‘living funeral’ with family and friends

Comedian Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Aducal Morales, held a “living funeral” with family and friends in Biñan, Laguna, on October 15, giving him the opportunity to hear their messages of love and gratitude while he is still alive.

The gathering took place at Forest Lake Memorial Parks, where loved ones shared memories and expressed their appreciation for the comedian instead of waiting until after his passing to say their final words.

Among those who delivered messages for Ate Gay were fellow comedian Boobsie Wonderland and content creator Arman Salon.

Photos from the event showed the venue adorned with flowers and portraits of the comedian.

A living funeral is a gathering held to honor someone while they are still alive, allowing them to personally hear and feel the love and appreciation of family and friends.

The event comes as Ate Gay continues to face his battle with Stage 4 cancer, which he publicly disclosed in September 2025.

Previous reports said the comedian underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy as part of his treatment.
