The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will deploy around 17,000 personnel at seaports nationwide to ensure the safety and security of passengers expected to travel to their home provinces for Undas 2026.
The agency will raise the alert status of all its operating units from October 29 to November 3 to prepare for the anticipated surge in passenger traffic.
PCG spokesperson Commodore Noime Cayabyab said the deployment will include personnel aboard Coast Guard vessels and response teams composed of rescue personnel, medics, and nurses who will assist passengers in need.
K9 units will also be stationed at major seaports to conduct security inspections and prevent prohibited items from being brought aboard vessels.
In addition, passenger assistance desks will be established at seaports across the country to address travelers’ concerns and provide assistance throughout the Undas travel period.
