Iran retaliates after US launches fresh strike a month later

Iran has retaliated after the United States launched a fresh military strike targeting two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

The attack marks the first direct U.S. strike against Iran in nearly a month, following a temporary lull in hostilities between the two countries.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported casualties, including deaths and injuries, from the attack.

The renewed hostilities have sharply raised tensions in the Middle East, fueling concerns that the conflict could escalate and draw in other countries in the region.
