The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) warned the public against individuals allegedly falsifying official documents using the signature of Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon.
The agency said the documents that may be forged include memorandums, Special Orders, appointment papers and other official documents.
According to the DPWH, anyone found responsible for falsifying documents or illegally using the secretary’s signature may face administrative or criminal charges.
The warning followed reports received by the agency involving individuals allegedly using the scheme to deceive people.
The DPWH urged the public to remain vigilant and carefully check documents that carry the name or signature of Dizon.
The agency also encouraged the public to report suspicious documents or activities involving the secretary’s name or signature.
Reports may be submitted through the DPWH Hotline 165-02, the agency’s official social media accounts or its email address, [email protected].
The DPWH did not provide further details about the individuals allegedly involved in the reported scheme.
The agency reiterated its call for the public to verify questionable documents and report suspected falsification or unauthorized use of the secretary’s name or signature through its designated channels.
