Chino Sy fired up for first Asian Games appearance

After clinching a gold medal for the Philippines in judo at the SEA Games, Filipino judoka Chino Sy-Tancontian is now gearing up for another major challenge—his Asian Games debut.

Fresh from his recent victory, Sy is hoping to carry that momentum as he tests his skills on a much bigger stage.

Despite his SEA Games triumph, Sy does not consider the achievement enough, saying every competition presents a new challenge and another opportunity to learn.

The young judoka is especially excited to see how he stacks up against some of the best judokas in Asia.

His Asian Games debut also marks an important step toward his bigger goals in international judo as he continues to pursue a higher level of competition.
