Ateneo holds 40th-day memorial mass for Baterbonia and Adili

The Ateneo de Manila University community gathered to mark the 40th day since the passing of student-athletes Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili through a memorial Mass.

During the service, University President Fr. Roberto Yap, SJ said that time is measured not only by days, but also by moments of suffering, reflection, and transformation.

He added that for the Ateneo community, the occasion is a time to grieve, remember, and honor the lives of the two student-athletes.

During the Mass, Fr. Bobby also announced the launch of the Blue Eagle Athletic Scholarship Fund in honor of Baterbonia and Adili.

He expressed hope that the scholarship program will ensure that the names and values of Rene and Divine continue to inspire and support future generations of Ateneo student-athletes.

The Ateneo de Manila University community also called on the public to continue remembering the two late basketball players.
