Boy Scouts honor Tacloban school shooting victim for bravery

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines has honored the courage of Scout Chris Lorenz T. Fabian, one of the students who was killed in the Tacloban school shooting.

The organization shared photos of its visit to Fabian’s wake, where it paid tribute to his bravery.

Fabian was the student who stood by the classroom door in an attempt to prevent the shooters from entering.

While trying to protect his classmates, he was struck by gunfire and later died from his injuries.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines on Thursday conferred upon Fabian the Gold Gallantry and Heroism Award, the organization’s highest recognition for extraordinary courage displayed by one of its members.

The organization also extended its deepest condolences to the Fabian family during this difficult time.
