DOT continues talks to appoint BINI as tourism ambassadors

The Department of Tourism (DOT) remains committed to appointing P-pop girl group BINI as tourism ambassadors for the Philippines.

In an interview, Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat Angara-Mathay said the department still expects the group to become tourism ambassadors and is continuing negotiations to formalize the partnership.

It can be recalled that BINI recently showcased Filipino talent on the international stage through their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Following the group’s performance, BINI gained even more supporters and fans from different parts of the world.

The DOT believes that BINI’s growing global appeal can help boost Philippine tourism and promote the country’s attractions to both local and international travelers.

Last month, the department first announced that it was considering the girl group for the role of tourism ambassadors, citing their influence and international reach.
