LTO Mati conducts free theoretical driving course in Mati City

The Land Transportation Office Mati District conducted a free Theoretical Driving Course in Mati City today to support aspiring drivers.

The training session took place from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon at Nazareno Covered Court, Barangay Central.

Officials prepared a larger and more comfortable venue to accommodate the increasing number of residents interested in joining the program.

The initiative aims to provide wider access to driving education and ensure more participants benefit from the free government service.

Through the program, participants enhanced their knowledge on responsible driving and safe road practices during the whole-day session.

Local authorities emphasized that the activity supports efforts to strengthen discipline among drivers and reduce road accidents in the community.

They added that improving access to driving education remains a priority to promote safer transportation practices across the city.

Beneficiaries Anne and Roland Jay Cadaa expressed gratitude for the program, saying it saved them time and financial expenses for training.

Anne highlighted that the free course removed the need to queue at the LTO office and pay for the theoretical session.

Roland Jay Cadaa also thanked the agency, calling the initiative a significant privilege for aspiring drivers in Mati City.

The Land Transportation Office Mati District clarified that only the theoretical driving course is free of charge.

Officials further stated that applicants must still pay required fees when applying for a student permit.

District Head Lloyd D. Bucod reaffirmed the office’s commitment to making driving education more accessible to the public.

The program continues as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety awareness and responsible driving behavior in the region.
