Arrest warrants vs. Escudero, Villanueva, Estrada, Revilla, Binay expected by December 15 – Ombudsman

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla confirmed that arrest warrants may be issued by December 15 against Sen. Chiz Escudero, Sen. Joel Villanueva, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, and former Senators Bong Revilla and Nancy Binay.

The warrants are connected to the ongoing investigation into corruption involving flood control projects.

In an interview, Remulla emphasized that these officials may be arrested before Christmas.

He added that the agency is also investigating former senators Sonny Angara and Grace Poe.

According to the Ombudsman, the office will present to the courts whoever is implicated by the evidence.

Although he personally knows the individuals involved, Remulla stated that his duty remains his top priority.

He stressed that he will not back down from this issue.
