PDP Laban calls Tri-Comm summons of pro-Duterte vloggers ‘harassment’

PDP Laban has denounced the House Tri-Committee’s move to subpoena pro-Duterte vloggers and social media influencers, calling it an act of ‘harassment’ and a violation of free speech.

The House Tri-Committee approved a motion to summon social media personalities who failed to appear at an earlier hearing.

PDP Laban argued that lawmakers should focus on addressing pressing national issues instead of targeting individuals for their political views.

The party stated that the House should prioritize initiatives that improve the lives of ordinary Filipinos rather than engage in political maneuvering.

Among those subpoenaed were former Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, Krizette Laureta Chu, Sass Rogando Sasot, and Lorraine Marie Badoy-Partosa.
